Magura Hydraulic Clutch Kit

Anyone ever try the Magura Hydraulic Clutch Kit? If yes, how did it work?

Not on a KLR but I have on other bikes; it worked well. You are aware of the longer engine side clutch arm mod (available from Twin Headlight Ernie)? much cheaper and easier though I don't know how final effort compares. https://twinheadlighternie.smugmug.c.../KLR/i-G5NFNgn

cheers,
Dave

Installed the Magura clutch kit

Well, I went ahead and bought a Magura hydraulic clutch. Works pretty well; however, two issues. 1) Starter lockout switch connector is not compatible with the KLR harness connector at the clutch. Not sure about a work around for that. Don't know where it connects to the main harness and I don't want to fool with that. May have to splice or replace with different connectors. 2) replacing the wind guards with Maier hand guards as the stock wind guard won't work with the new clutch. It requires removal of the handle bar weights and I'm not sure what the impact on vibration when highway riding. Anyone have experience with that?

I don't use bar end weights or the factory clutch safety interlock. Vibration is acceptable to me; I use Renthal 7/8" alloy bars and 714 Progrips.
