Siping on dual-sport tires?

I just got a new set of tires. Opted for the Shinko 705s because they'll surely be good, they'll provide a definite departure from the stockers I'm "used" to, and, well… because they're cheap!

Before I mount 'em, I was thinking tho… I know someone who gets siping done for his sport bike tires, and I was just wondering what you guys think of this. Good idea? Worth it? Even possible with deeper treads?

Seems to me itís something tire dealers recommend but something the tire manufacturers donít. Kinda a cash grab like nitrogen filled tires.

If you lived in a rainier climate it might be an 'improvement'. But I would probably just purchase a different tire for a rainier climate.
