The Gen 2 headlights are ONLY single filament 12V 55W bulbs. LOW beam is On all the time. High beam just adds the second bulb, with HIGHER Focus, low is still on.

I was thinking about retrofitting projectors and was wondering if I could run one on both sides. Both would be low and high beam.

@Hagan,

Those are bi-xenon with an electromagnetic shield that comes down for high beam. Both sides are on for low beam and both sides are on for high-beam.

Thanks Tom!

Couple of newbie questions. How did you source them? I read your whole thread but didnt see your impressions of the projectors?

Thanks!

I bought them online and used from theretrofitsource.com. They sell a lot of crap, but they do offer some good OEM projectors from time to time. I also got the Subaru lenses from them. The ballasts I got from a Canadian dismantler, again online.

They are simply awesome. They are exactly what you'd expect, performance-wise, from an OEM HID.
samuel likes this.
