No Electrical Power .....


Looking for guidance … installed a new battery yesterday in my 2009. Now, I don't have any electrical power when I turn the key on …. no headlight, gauges, tail light etc. I verified the battery installation, the main fuse and the kill switch. The previous battery had been dead for 6 months. Can anybody offer a comment or two for me to seek a remedy? Much appreciated … note, I'm a hacker with a Clymer manual and a toolbox, but I am not a qualified technician!! Just being truthful. Thank you in advance.

So you have checked the two fuses under the seat and the main fuse by the starter relay?

Quite often folks mistake the spare fuse for the main fuse.

Have a look:

This is the panel you are looking for:

And this is what's underneath. Note the spare fuse under the relay:

Here are some photos of the connector and fuse. Note yours won't look quite like this - there's no engine in this frame.
