Three recalls - NOT for 2nd Gen???

So I see mention of three recalls: muffler bolt, wiring and signal rubber stems. In pic's the muffler bolts of concern are metal-to-metal so seems not an issue with my 2011.

I'm wondering whether I can reasonably expect to get my (now 8 year old) rubber stems replaced free by a dealer or is the recall just Gen 1? I stripped off the perished front ones and mounted the signals directly to the fairing just to get it through the safety check but want a better long-term solution, so it's this or maybe put completely different aftermarket items on instead.

Also, without taking off the tank can anyone tell me whether the dodgy wiring install affects my model year, or is that just a concern for Gen 1's? Felix.

Just checked Kawasaki Australia's recalls: "Product description:
The units were imported between April 2007 and October 2007" so seems I'm out of luck with that.

Seemed to me those were Gen 2 recalls, not Gen 1.

Iím surprised that you got through the safety check doing what you did to the signals. Here in Canada the signals are required to be a certain distance from the headlight and taillight. I would imagine other countries have the same requirement.

There are a host of reasons for any motorcycle enthusiast to consider a move from Canada to Australia. This is a minor one, personally the weather was the major one 😉

yep, those are Gen2 recalls.....at least the wiring harness issue and the rubber signal stocks. You should be fine on both counts with your 2011 though it's always a good idea to inspect the harness for wear/rub points.
