Quad vs Ram

Looking at a iPhone mount. Any opinions on either Ram or Quad systems would be appreciated.

Rams are pricey but damn they work well, I have owned several and never lost a phone.

Check out Rokform too. Excellent cases and mounts.

Thanks for the replies. Rokform are great but too expensive for me and I know Ram are good - I have a couple on my boat. What I was wondering was if anyone had mounted a Quad on their KLR and their experience with the system.

You’ve probably already purchased, but I’ve used QuadLock on the Harley for years and swear by them. But THEY are a bit pricey. I’ll be adding one to the KLR as soon as I get the upper and lower dashes hooked up.

The QuadLock has the advantage that you can orient your phone portrait or landscape (don’t know about the Ram). The locking collar is integrated into the phone case so you might be on the hook for a case too. But the mount on back of the case isn’t excessively thick to make the case awkward to hold. And it’s observed many drops from my fumbling hands. On the bike it is solid and readable as nothing is gripping anywhere near the screen. They have come out with several mounts more suitable for motorcycles since I purchased mine but the locking mechanism is the same as day one.
I’ll look at the Ram but since I’m already invested in the QuadLoc and it is tried and trusted I’ll probably stay with them.
Only thing I don’t know is how it will handle any airborne activities, or more precisely, landings! But at my age I think vibration will be the more important issue. And the Harley isn’t smooth.
