Please, someone tell me this is a cruel joke and there is a cheaper alternative. If i knew what type of tube that is i would just run down to the hardware store bu some.
btw, mine is crack and will not stay in place, bike runs fine, no issues that i have seen, not sure what the tube does or were it go to, but it comes from the tank closest to the seat.
702A05170, I don't know where you looked up that short hose at?
The parts screen I looked at for 09 KLR fuel tank vent hose, has part #702A05620 superceded to 702A051430.
05 is the Inside Diameter of the hose. 5mm
170 is the Length of the hose. 170mm=6 3/4". Too Short to work in this instance.
So 702A05620 seems correct for ID and Length.
Update #702A051430 for $21.17 USD for a yard and a half is also absurd.
Just get some 3/16" black vent hose/fuel hose from auto parts or hardware store.
I do wish that I could purchase Metric Sized I.D. fuel and vent hose in the USA!! I can't find any, anywheres!
Every outlet wants to sell fractional sizes Only! It Just doesn't fit the same.
will do pdwestman, I knew there was a cheaper option, I just didn't know the size or what it even went to. I will be stopping by the hardware or auto store on the way home from work. is 170mm going to be long enough?
The correct part # is 702A05620! 5mm I.D. x 620mm long!
About 24 inches of 3/16 inch tubing will route the possible fuel tank overflow down to the lower rear shock linkage.
Please, someone tell me this is a cruel joke and there is a cheaper alternative. If i knew what type of tube that is i would just run down to the hardware store bu some.
Seriously though, my ACE Hardware store has bulk reels of all different sizes of fuel resistant black hose/tubing, all at a reasonable price. They had a $2.50 key blank too. :smile2:
I figured there was a cheaper route to go, I do need to get keys made, I only have the one.
Time to stock up on 5mm tube
