Newbie, first dirt

My son got himself a 2008 KLR 650 this week
Seems I'm doing something right

Yesterday I took him for the first dirt ride
It rained in the morning so the roads were damp and some places a few marbles
He coped quite well with one or two spots where it went almost oops, but stayed up, traveled 40 to 50 km/h, taking it nice and slow

Seems the bug has bitten

A friend also with a Tenere and his son, also a KLR, joined us along the route

The first of many, I hope

Life is good

You raised that buy right. Great job to ya both. My daughter never got into bikes buy my middle granddaughter is a little. I'm hoping one or both grandsons will. They both like riding behind me on the BMW but have not let them on the KLR as their feet don't hit the rear pegs yet. Hopefully by this summer they will have grown enough to reach the pegs.

Congrats to ya' both Dualthing. Looks like he needs to find a stock height seat or maybe even a tall seat kit. That boy must have near 38inch legs!

I bet you both wish he coulda' justified your Black KLR, was that a year and a half ago, already?
