Looked at that but could not get much of an idear from the single pic.
I've ordered one from arrowhead in the states, and will still land it here $50 cheaper than aus. How's your bike going.I've only done 1200 kays on mine, but it's getting better all the time.It handles the dirt road around CQ well.

Hi All, Geoff here in Alice Springs. I have an 08 that was a demo model I purchased from Boltons Kawasaki in Adelaide in March 08.

I had an 04 as well, I really like both of them. Mine has 4200km now, uses a little oil. I replaced the doohickey last week and have fitted SW-Motech Bars, Alloy plate, Pannier Racks, Fork Brace, Braided Brake Lines, Centre Stand, R-Jays Topbox.

Have just ordered some Pelican side cases and will be fitting them next week, I only got small ones as I travel very light.

Look forward to hearing from you blokes interstate.

Hi Bratski, I got my "doo" kit from www.KLR650.com in the States, it came with everything you need. I have been a mechanic since 1982 so it was easy for me to do with my experience, but having said that it is very straight forward.
I will post up some pictures of my bike soon.

Geoff.

Hi all, I'm from Ballarat, the coldest inland place in victoria, I have a 77 KL250, in the process of engine repairs, but when it's runnin, there's nothing like the freedom of cruising around the bush. I used to live on the south coast of NSW. big difference in temperature, but if you read my profile, there is one reason why i aint comin back north to live.

Hi geoff
So you're a mechanic hey?
I hope you might be able to answer a question I have... recently I took the side cover off the engine to replace the oil filter, I had to move the bike, and only noticed the other day that the oil screen has gone missing. How important is it, as I have tried to get a new one and a secondhand one as a replacement but have had no success in finding one. So is it safe to run the bike without it, or what? If it is safe, I will still be hunting down that illusive part to eventually replace it, but till then, if it's not safe, then it will be some time till I get to go for a ride again.

G day Barf,

Just been drafted, found the tent and toilets.
How do you message questions for everyone to read and get help.
I'm based in Sydney and have a 2003 C SERIES 650 KLR.
Trying to get help if the IMS 6.6 gallon plastic tanks fit on this model or if it requires mod's without too much hassle. It suits the A SERIES KLR.
Thanks and good to know we got ANZAC Riders for a change....
