I found with the stock shield the turbulent air would be right under my helmet - super noisy. But everyone's experience differs when it comes to windshields.

I bought my new-ish road bike specifically because it was the one that had best wind management for me. R1200RT is like a miracle compared to my old Goldwing, it's like riding in a bubble of quiet air.

Windscreen upgrade

Purchased the KLRDASH from rockymountainatvmc and the zero gravity double bubble screen elsewhere the install is simple the benefit outstanding I also made the lower dash myself and wired up a set of 20W spotlights bike is now an adventure weapon

Sorry for the hi-jack guys.

Pieman, Your front Dunlop D606 would handle A Lot Better on gravel roads if you would reverse the rotation from this front view of tire tread>>>>>>>> to this <<<<<<<<<.

And yes I know about the directional arrow on the sidewall.

Modify at "YOUR OWN RISK"!
