Second pic worked for me.

Nothing but minor surface damage. Sand it, paint it, ride on.

Looks like a crack or even as if someone has used a grinder to it. May have to have someone weld it if your unable. Does look pretty gnarly.

A bad attitude is like a flat tire, you can't go anywhere until you change it.

I'm certain that the minor vertical scarring was caused by a loose kick stand pivot bolt & missing lock nut. Or a bent kickstand, pretty RARE. Then the swing arm stroking Up & Down past the kick stand pad.

This is pretty common on the Gen 2. As the pivot wears and a bit of slop gets into it, the spring pulls the stand back and it can rub the swing arm. I've ground the backside of my pad completely off and flush with the tube.

That makes since. Too bad that has to happen. I was looking at my bike today regarding that issue and sure enough it sure looks as though that could happen. Guess I'll be spending some time checking that pivot bolt on the side stand.

People rarely think to lube the kickstand pivot and too many loose the jam nut on the back and that allows the bolt to loosen & the clevis to spread.
