Looking for low cost side storage boxs or stiff saddle bags.

Anyone know of a source for a low cost storage to mount to custom made saddlebag frames. http://powers31.info/Side_Luggage_Frames.htm

I just finished a set of frames. Now I'd like to find a couple of cheap boxs or low cost saddle bags.
Something with approximate dimensions of.. 12 – 14” long x 8-10” High x 5-8” deep (give-or-take)

These frames come off with 3 bolts so I probably won't use them when trail riding, just when doing back roads etc.

I found a tail bag at WalMart luggage department a few years ago for $12.00
Works good for my purposes. Anything made for motorcycles usually has a high price tag, so I try to find alternates when ever possible.

I'm using Seahorse SE720 cases (Grey) – They seem pretty tough. Not as robust as Pelican case, but they are a lot cheaper and lighter.

I like them. Are they water proof? Where did you buy them?

they are supposed to be water proof. They have a rubber seal.
I got mine at a place called Fuerte cases.

I saw a similar setup once using 3 of those Harbor Freight motorcycle trunks (I have a large HF trunk mounted on the back of my KLR), I can't find the thread right now though... It looked like a fairly good system for a lockable removable saddlebag system. I like my HF trunk, think I paid around $50 not counting shipping. It's not a Givi, but it was a lot cheaper!

'You b-ba-ba-buh-bas,,,j-j-j-jer-ju-jer, uh, stinker, you!', Tom stammered.

I just dropped $125 on a pair of SE-720s and an SE-540 at carycasesplus.com.

Dang, it, these new folks show up and I wind up spending money...

More to follow.

Hie thee to a military surplus store; buy ammo cans to suit.

They're rugged, rain resistant, and exonomically replaceable.

Oh, not STYLISH enough for you?

Oh, sorry about that...

I was just thinking about getting that 540 case for the rear rack. That's the deep one right?

Please post pics when you get it mounted.
