I prefer a modular as well. Not as protective as a solid but so much more convenient.

A bad day on the bike is better than a good day at work...
There's no such thing as enough storage space...

Nice. I just bought a Bell modular. I've worn flip-ups since I've been riding with glasses.
My guess is the flip-ups arent as safe as a full-face but I havent seen any statistics or studies to prove that so I dont know for sure. What I do know for sure, they are alot more convenient (especially for those of us with four eyes). I do wish I was ok wearing a standard full-face though, there are alot more choices, they are lighter and cheaper, but the convenience of a flip-up is worth it.

Yeah, makes it more convenient while pumping gas or making a quick run to the store. Who wants to take off their gloves to undo their chinstrap, take off their helmet and secure it somewhere on their ride just to run in and out of the store. With my flip up all I have to do is push a button. These things are dot approved so I'm not too worried.

After wearing it for a week, I really like this helmet. There is a little wind noise, which is to be expected, but I'm very satisfied. If you are in the market for a modular helmet and don't want to pay brand name prices, I recommend checking out ebay. After shipping and handling the total was about 50 bucks.

I'm currently in the market for a couple of Nolan N90's.

Wish I could get those for $50.

I wish there was a flip up with a visor and slip down tinted shield like the HJC.

They are DOT, but so are beanie helmets.. You'll never see a SNELL sticker on a modular because they're considered a 3/4 face helmet.. I broke the front of a HJC modular helmet when it dropped from the seat of my bike, so don't count on it doing much with the weight of your head in it..

And before you start yelling at me, I'm just passing on information.. When I ride my Honda Helix scooter to work, I'm wearing this..
