Summer Jacket

Have my eye on this in white. It has some features the less expensive ones do not (like the mesh I have now).

I'm not a big fan of textile but summer got here today and need something that offers protection and is COOL.

Anyone using this jacket. pros / cons?

Motorcylegear (formerly NewEnough) has the same one, but since they ship out of my home state I'd have to pay extra for sales tax.

Gray-haired riders donít get that way from pure luck.

Hey, flash; it's you! YOU!

Liners make this a most veratile garment. Having been caught out in the suddenly wet and/or suddenly chilly environment, wish I'd had 'em.

Unsolicited, my browser has pointed out the availability of the jacket from several vendors.

I'm sorry I don't have any constructive comments about the jacket itself, but I consider your choice of the white version to be a wise one, especially for hot weather. There's a lot to be said for reflecting/deflecting the sun's rays when you're trying to stay cool.

I would venture that you would definitely be able to tell the difference wearing a white one or a black one on a hot, sunny day.

Pulled the trigger and ordered it. Let you know how it works out for me in a few weeks.

I wouldn't normally consider white but I'm looking for max cool this year. I have an off brand mesh I've had for a few years that is black and hotter than hell when stopped. The armor in it is ill placed/saggy and non adjustable, all the closures/adjustments except the front zipper are velcro and the neck is scratchy. Gave less than $100 for it. It was just time for something better.

This is the one I bought this spring.. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/t...Fcuj4AodZGcAJA Not from them. Got it at my local Kawasaki dealer for similar price as the one you listed.

It looks like the one you ordered is similar to the one I have, in most ways. My jacket has inner rain / wind breaker liner. Also it has a inner liner that is somewhat quilted for warmth. I have worn it in temp's down to the 40's with a short sleeve shirt under. It is warm enough. Better if you put thin sweat shirt under for temp's around 40 deg's.

We haven't had temp's much above 70's so I can't attest to the mesh part. I only used it once with out all removable liners. It was just in the low 80's.

The 3 level jackets take some getting used to. Kind of tricky figgering how all those zippers, and snaps go. My Tourmaster is quite heavy. I measured about 7 pounds!

Another thing my Tourmaster has that bug's me. The cuffs are real big, and the velcro won't wrap enough to close the sleeve ends around my wrist.
I had my wife sew extra velcro on my sleeves.
