How about this for $50? Anyone know anything about them?
The price is hard to believe.

It is DOT aproved, but I would say it is on the low end of the scale. I have two of them. I really like the flip up face and shield, but the material its made of inside is cheap.

You know what they say:

If you have a $50 head, get a $50 helmet.

Are you saying that Daddy J has a $50 knoggin ? I say buy the cheap one first. If you like the style but not real happy with the finish, save up your pennys and get a high dollar one.

$44.95 from the same guy and I like the looks. Plus it looks like it has more venting around the chin area.

Not at all and my apologies if it read that way. Generally it's the old you get what you pay for although testing shows otherwise. I prefer to spend a littel more and buy something a little better rather than buy twice.

I'm sure we have all read this article. My son needs a helmet. i'm thinking I will try the Z1R.

I know some helmets are better than others, I know some helmets cost a lot more than others, and I wouldn't have one that is not DOT approved.
But the bottom line is God decides if the helmet is going to help you or not. Too many people get hurt with and without helmets, like car crashes, the most minor crashes have resulted in fatalities, while you can see some destroyed yet the person in it walks away.
I have two of the $50 helmets, one black and one white, ( KLaspeR and blackie) and a red one I bought at a local flea market for $35 (new) that is red, (big red).
And now the sad part is I'm going to have to cut down to one helmet, and one bike. (to pull behind the MH) .

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
