Anyone have the Dirtracks crash bars?

Saw these engine crash bars from Dirtracks.com, which are a good price compared to the HT and SW Motech. Can anyone vouch for their quality and ability to protect in a fall?

I have the Dirtracks pannier setup in the rear with Pelicans. I absolutely love that set up. Extremely solid. I looked at the front crash bars but I went with Motech instead. I was putting the Motech skid plate on and I wanted and easy install. From looking at the builds, I would be less worried about dropping the Motech front end from a coverage perspective. The Dirtracks look solid, but the Motechs are tested.

I have the engine guards and saddlebag racks on a Gen I. Haven't "tested" yet but they seem to be very well built as well as the saddle bag racks. The look like they would work with almost any skid plate, I have the Ricochet skid. Super easy to install. Fred over at Dirt Racks has great customer service, quick shipping considering they are coming from Canada, and great prices.

Thanks
Rojo.

Can't vouch. I made mine. Never tested, and VERY generic
I wanna save my plastic tho and need an upgrade before I smash into a hidden tree stump or boulder. Hopefully the job interview in two hours goes well. Need to upgrade the wallet. LOL
Good thread.

I'm very interested in these crash bars. I'm building up my '07 for the CDR but I am doing it on a very limited budget. Any input on this product would be much appreciated.

I just bought a pair of the Dirtracks crash bars, unpainted, for my '07 KLR. They arrive in a week. I'm new to the KLR and I don't see myself doing much real dirtbiking, but yes to doing forest trails, and I want to save money while farkling my '07. So I'm keeping the OEM skid plate for now, adding the Dirtracks crash bars, and painting them myself. We'll see how it goes!
