Tyre Time (Cheng Shin)

Hi All,
I thought I'd made up my mind to buy a set of Trail Wings.
Then I noticed the Cheng Shin C858. The bits of info I've managed to find about them is surprizingly good. Anyone have any first hand experience with these? The price is almost scary! Too god to be true?

It is an excellent off road tire with good road manners and the price is the icing on the cake. They do wear a little quicker than some tires but I liked their performance.

on road

I just got the metzler tourance for on road travel, they are awesome. If you are plannin go on and off then these aren't for you, listen to these guys here. A general drawback is price, but I got a good deal from motorcycle superstore, they were like 25 -30 % off a couple months ago, plus I have orderd a lot from them, great service.

But I have a question for any one reviewing this thread, where can you get another set of klr rims, I am shite at changing tires and I have two left thumbs, so I woud like to have basically two sets of tires ready to go (on roads and stubbies)? I've looked around a but cannot find anything, maybe I just call a dealer

eBay. You'll pay a fortune at the dealership. $300+

I'm wanting to do the same thing.

KLawR, I am constantly running across them on ebay. Just search KLR and it will take you to lots of KLR stuff.

Chen tires have been in Canada forever - I had them on my 1973 Kaw. The rear tire would last about 6000 miles.

They also make tires for Bicycles.......

I do not think you will get the distance out of the tire that you would get for a more expensive brand..... you get what you pay for. Chen's over all are good buy.

Heres the C/S 858 in front of a Maxxis 6006.

I thought I had some pics of them mounted but can't find them.
