Switching between synthetic and non synthetic oil

I'm not sure how bad, if at all, is this? I'm bit shy from 20k on odometer. When I first got the bike I had it on non synthetic for long time, then switched to synthetic. I've been on a 7 months (and going) trip through central and south America and often can't find oil I need. About 1000 miles ago I changed oil and switched back to non synthetic since it was only I could find than. So again, does this effect bike in any way? I'm also curious if I should switch back to synthetic on my next change? What are essential differences and benefits of either?

There is no problem switching back to dinosaur juice or synthetic whichever the case. Main thing is that you have oil in the motor. Keep riding.
