Rib core protection ideas or suggestions

Had a spill friday eve,my JR jacket worked great except my ribs took a big hit. Cracked and bruised and it hurts.
Id like ideas on what I could use for me a 6'4" rider. Been checking those bull riding armor but that seems a little extreme.

Suggestions anyone?

Scorpion makes a kidney support belt. Some other folks, too. Kind of seems like a glorified lumbar support belt. I used to wear one of those when I rode sometimes. I think vest style armor is probably the best bet for rib protection. It does seem kind of extreme to me, though. And I'm ATGATT. If I was riding more off road, I'd probably look into it.

Sorry you took a tumble. Glad you're alright.

I use one of these when off-road. I'm not sure if it would do what you need, though.

Opinions are my own. Everything I describe is very likely wrong. Use at your own risk.

Rib core protection

For cooler weather you can't be a TekVest. It's saved my ribs more than once and is fairly comfortable.

For warmer weather one of those roost deflectors the MX riders wear is what I use. I believe I have a Fox Airframe. Light, comfortable, yet protective.
