looking for 2008+ side pannier rack and hard panniers

Just purchased a 2008 KLR650 and need to set it up for some camping trips. I"m looking for used 2008+ side pannier rack and hard panniers. If you have or know of anyone looking to sell theirs please get a hold of me here. Thank you.

I sold my racks and panniers last year for $400. Hadn't really used them and they got snapped up as soon as I posted the ad! Best bet would be to keep an eye on Kijiji and Craigslist if you use it (Lol, I only use Kijiji).

I had bought my racks off of some guy on ebay, brand new and powder coated for just a little better than $150 I think? Not sure if he still sells them or not though.

The panniers themselves I bought from that Calgary outfit Dirt Bagz, pretty good quality, I was pleased with them.

Best of luck on your search!

Not used and you probably won't find any used.

I'm not really sure what the mounting racks with quick detatch hardware is, I had the bags and the side racks (but I didn't buy the side racks from these guys).

Not used either, the stuff is all brand new, they just advertise on Kijiji. Small company.

Funny side note, the bottom pic with the panniers sitting on cardboard boxes? Lol, those are my panniers when I got them. They snagged my pic

Tusk still seems like a great, affordable option. At $399 for the full system ya just can't beat it.

It seems that whenever I start reading a ride report that includes hard panniers and racks I start wondering when I will read about the raider looking for a welder for the racks. Also, one rider broke his leg under the pannier. So, I go with throw-over soft bags and a lockable aluminum tool box for a tail box.

My waterproof lockable tail box is held on by two removable cables under the tail rack with adjustable, lockable over-center latches and padlocks. About $160 all in box, locks, cables and latches. The throw-over bags $130 are easy to pull off at a motel or to make it easier to lift the bike. In mud or sand it is easy to remove the box also for less lifting effort.

I won't go on dirt with hard bags. They must be soft cuz I'm going to fall period!
