GoPro Helmet mount

As we're having a snow event today, and I'm kind of bored, I decided to see if I could mount my GoPro in a better place on my open face helmet.

This video shows what I came up with. Sorry no video from the bike.
(It's already 9" deep, and still coming down.)

When I had mine (sold it) it was on top of my helmet.

Will that Kubota start when it's really cold? My Mahindra doesn't like really cold weather.

PS: 56 degrees here today, 58 tomorrow & 68 Sunday. Call U-haul.

I have mounted the GoPro on top of helmet. (Subject to minor head movement, but I can film off to the side easier.)
I even tried side mount, but all top/side mounting makes adjusting the camera for level framing difficult. I resorted to making a cardboard template to get the camera's brackets adjusted so the video is level, and horizon in center of frame. (Trial & Error. Make adjustment, look at video on computer, make adjustment, look at video on computer.. etc. )

I'm hoping this chin mount will be easier to get level adjustment, and not as subject to minor movement of my head.
To cold today to go out and play around with it. (14 deg's at 10:00am & windy. )

The Kubota has a glow plug. Any temp's below 32 deg's, and I heat the glow plug for 30 - 40 sec's, and she fires right up. Oddly, if it's 32 deg's or above, I can just put key in, and a couple of cranks, it's running. Gotta love that Kubota.

I've had it used since 1985. I work the $'t out of it building stone walls, and wood cutting/hauling. I even do grade work building road beds through the woods behind my house. See my back yard trail videos...

Note: The log pile shown in the videos was made with the help of my Kubota.

Nice work with the camera mount.

This southerner enjoyed watching a northerner shoveling snow from in front of a "TRACTOR". We would only use the shovel to clear a path "TO" the tractor.

It's really cold up there and their brains get cold. About half way up Kentucky you start seeing stuff like that. I've heard some parts of the bodies shrink up too!

Nice property. We've got 23 acres but you're not going to ride it on a KLR! Maybe 3 acres of it around the house and barn but the rest would take a Razor 4x4 and even then you would only be able to ride half of it without flipping it.

Keeps the tourist away

Thanks!

That part of my driveway never gets Sun in winter. When I drive off the platform my tractor is parked on, the bucket doesn't clean down to pavement well. I find if I shovel out in front a ways, I can keep the pavement ice free.
Besides, It's my PT in winter.

My "spread" is only 18 A's
About 1/3 is real rocky, steep, and wet. Even a good 4x4 would have issues getting over some of it. Only the upper part, closer to the house, is more friendly to traversing with bike.
