Will these guards work?

http://www.klr650.com/engineguardtankguards.htm

I am looking at this set of guards but the description says 1987-2007. Will they work on my 2009 klr?

Nope. Won't work. Search for ones 08+.

Will these guards work?

http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade...view/3809/653/

I'm still searching for a set of engine guards that will fit my '09'. I haven't contacted these guys yet but the description is claiming through '08' klr's. They were alittle more then was planning on spending but they look like very solid items.

Has anyone used them, and will they fit my '09'?

Thanks

My brother has been waiting for almost 9 months for those. Seems they ran out of welding rod in China.

Those are the ones I have. Never tested them, but they are sturdy and look cool. They will hit pavement before the pegs though if you get low enough in a turn. I've done it a few times. I dig em.

I have them on my 08. They work well. Be sure to use the provided spacers in front on the frame. Also make sure you can remove the cowling after the guards are mounted. It looks like they designed the guards and found they wouldn't allow the removal of the cowling....added spacers so they got just enough clearance....IMO.
