DALLAS: In Need of Help, Interesting Situation....

I'm in a difficult situation, and need someone's help in the Dallas area.

I left my bike at my friends house in Dallas back in November because I was riding from California to Virginia and hit some nasty weather. I am just now finally able to fly out to pick it up and ride the rest of the way to Virginia. I have my plane ticket purchased, non-refundable, and won't have another chance to go out until June, when I am moving back to California. My riding gear is in her closet, and all I have to do is pick that up and ride off on my much-missed KLR.

Problem is she had said she was going to be out of the country, which was too bas as I'd have loved to have visited with her, but now she will in fact be in-country, and having guests at her house that weekend.

I just need a stand-up, honest person to pick up my bike and retrieve my riding gear, and hold it for two days until I arrive, on April 18, approx. 7pm. I would pay you for your trouble. I would give all the details, but the bottom line is she is being incredibly petty, and I just can't afford to delay this trip, since the airline won't let me change dates without charging more than the ticket cost initially, and my granted request for time off work. It would ruin me.

I know this is a strange request, but I'm in a little bit of a desperate pinch. I trust the people on KLRworld, and have met several quality riding buddies and friends from this and KLR.net.

If anyone has any ideas or can help me in any way, please let me know. Like I said, I'm down to desperation time.

Much thanks,

Dug

(Please write back and request my number if you need to....thanks.)
