I am located ten miles outside of Benton on highway 5. My buddy lives in Little Rock.

We went for a ride today on trails near Little Rock with my wife on the back. The funny thing is she likes riding on the back of the KLR more than any other bike. She rode 400 miles in one day with me from Ouray Colorado, to the four corners, to Pagosa Springs Colorado.

I do all kinds of riding. With the KLR I go to Colorado a quite of bit and my KLR riding in Arkansas tends to be mostly forrestry roads. I also due track days with my CBR 1000 and I ride a VFR 800 in Arkansas and out west. My wife is staring to learn to ride as well.

Arkansas

Royal: Would like to meet somewhere, coffee, MacDonalds, Red Lobster, that should cover the entire range. To get to know one another. Believe in knowing who I'm with before traveling, and letting those traveling with me know who I am. If can be arranged for a weekend will be there.

Near Crows Station

I am actually 3 miles from Crows Station where hwy 5 and 9 meet each other.

Too hot for me to ride right now. I am preparing to head to Ouray Colorado on July 31st for two weeks. I Love riding htere and it is cool!!!

We need to set a weekend date and pick a location center to everyone and see who can meet up. I will try to post something soon to set this up.

Is kinda warm, but nice in the evenings, and not to bad if you keep hydrated, read that as drink water like it is going out of style. Made that mistake last year, and almost paid for it, when gas station floor started tilting on me. Anyway, just got back from Gulf Coast with granddaughters, you wanna see hot, go out on Ship Island and the white sand.
Even if it is to hot for you to ride here, we still could meet to get to know one another, you and cdwdlw, sending him an e-mail to see if he wants to meet in Russelville, great ride up highway 7, weather permitting. Don't know at present if to ride the Harley or the KLR up there, Harely has a radio to keep me company and kill time. Highway 7 is a motorcycle road, so is that Talimena trail, finally got to ride it a couple of weeks back. There is a new one, called Metal Bender, don't know where he hangs his hat, but has time share in Hot Springs for August.
So air conditioned car is a viable alternative.

cdwdlw: Pick time and date, retired and open, just give a couple of days notice, just in case something unexpected comes up and I can notify you, but don't foresee any problems. Just e-mailed vetjet, same invitation. From what he says, he only lives about 30 or 40 miles from me.

'06 with 606's, would love to see more than the roads and easy creek crossings I saw last time down. Taken just south of Lake Hamilton not 10 minutes from time share, 8AM by my 10yo son, loved it!
The National Park open trails to ATVs, haven't got a map of the open trails yet, but it is an option?
Had 606s last time, went on all kinds of trails when first got KLR, so got them, didn't get to go on another trail for over a year, and the 606s do not last on the street. Bought Mefos, and get to go on the dirt again occasionally, go figure. The KLR is my everyday bike, going to the store, around town, etc. or just to get out in the woods, away from civilization for a while.

Looks like the crossing you are making is out around Pearcy, National Forest has area, but roads run in there and you can actually find old houses still up in the mountains. Supposed to be a town under Ouchita somewhere, don't know if it is true or not, but, Uncle, recently deceased, used to plow some of the mountain tops and could show you farrows on the islands he used to plow behind a mule, many, many, years ago.
