Site access issues

I've been a member here for many years, including before the change to the present system. Several years ago, I reached the maximum limit for posting photos and so haven't been able to do so. There seems no interest in resolving that which naturally leads to the conclusion that my posting photos is not desired.

Lately, there are other issues with access so am drifting away.

If can help someone in some way, please feel free to contact but won't likely be here very much.

Best to all, but Facebook and other groups are much less work.

Without knowing what the specific access issues are we can't help.

As far as the posting of Photos go I'm not sure what to do any more. I can't find any of your photos either in a Gallery or under the VB Image Host area so I don't know how they are stored or how they are limited. I'm not aware of the limitations or all the rules that the Site owners have in place. We've had this discussion before and my suggestion to use one of the numerous Image hosting sites such as PhotoBucket or Flickr still stands as the best option. To come to a conclusion that your "posting of photos is not desired" is not true and is unfair. I should point out that you are the only one that seems to have an issue in this regard.

Hate to see you go but that's a decision you have to make. We appreciate your input and knowledge.

We are doing some background work on this Norm so don't pull the pin yet.

Okay Norm. There has been some time spent on this by the Mods and Admin team. We haven't been able to determine just exactly what your problem is posting pictures. I went through a lot of your old posts back to when you joined the forum. I could not find any posts that had pictures posted to them. As far a limitations go the site does have them but they seem adequate for most. You can find those limitations here: http://www.klrforum.com/payments.php

You have the option to increase the limitations should you desire to pay for it.

So you are saying/showing that Normk's older postings pictures and attached pics are Gone/Removed/Wiped-out?

Seems to me that he should therefore have a 'clean-slate'! Pic count of "zero".
And therefore the system shouldn't show that he has Maxed Out his "un-paid" free space.

Of course I am almost computer illiterate. just my 2 cents.

No, there weren't any posts with pictures. At least not to speak of. Nothing was lost or wiped out. We are fortunate that this site has never had any data loss like that.

A normal membership has 5Mb of attachment storage. The size limit for attachments is about 500Kb. That means that a normal, unpaid, membership has the capacity for 10,000 attachments of 500Kb each.

I'm probably one of the most picture-heavy posters here. I happen to use a photo-hosting site rather than attaching stuff, but I doubt I have posted more than 500 pictures in the past 10 years. If I were to choose to use attachments instead of photo-hosting, I could do it at that rate for 200 years.

Now, 500Kb makes a pretty nice, detailed picture at 1024X768, and 500Kb is a decent size for text attachments. It's a little small for .pdf files but, as a point of reference, I was able to get the cheat sheets to under the limit.

In short, we don't know what the dealio is.
