I'm not on here that often anymore, but do check in from time to time. I find the general layout fairly useful, the main thing I miss is the who's online feature that used to be at the bottom of the screen before the revamp. I know you can still see the info if you click through a couple of links, but that's a pain so I usually don't bother, lol. Also I agree with the others on the "Enhanced Mobile View", it's absolutely horrible, I can't find anything on it, and end up reverting back to the old view. I think if they got rid of it no-one would miss it!

I appreciate efforts to streamline and freshen the forum. The only thing I offer is the hope that "improvements" do not result in my old, out-of-date-but-still-functioning ipad (maxed out at ios version 5.1.1) being unable to be used to read and post on the forum.

Sooner or later I'll have to toss out that old iPad. But so far, It's still good for a few games, email, and a few forums. But most web sites cannot be accessed on it anymore; I hope this forum does not become one.

clogan,

The underlying technology that runs the forum will not change (at least as a part of this effort).

@dan filipi and @KLR Kool-Aid!,

When you are on your phone do you use the desk top view, then, or Tap-a-talk, or some other method?

I use the desktop view. I haven't tried tapatalk here actually. We have that on my Oldwing forum that quite a few members use. I use desktop view there also since I've added loads of functions to that template that aren't included in the tapatalk templates.
I'll check it out on this forum.

Thanks, Dan.

I have never used Tap-a-talk anywhere. I guess I should try it so I half-ass know what I'm talking about with the admins. I tried the Enhanced Mobile thing on my i-phone and couldn't even make a post.

I looked at Tapatalk then closed it lol. Maybe I'm just old fashioned or something but I much prefer the desktop view with all of the functionality right there easy to see and find like on the desktop computer.

I am trying the Enhanced Mobile thing agaiN with my I-phone. It seems to work for posting. Dunno why I couldn’t make it work before.

I like the desktop better, though.
