That is a very carefully crafted set of posts that smack of "Greetings, minions, I am from the Mother Ship and I am here to help."

Might have already been mentioned here, but I really don't like not being able to see everyone's images because I don't subscribe to Photobucket.
Makes a lot of threads worthless.

That's a Photobucket issue, not a forum issue.

Even if you subscribe to PhotoBucket you won't be able to view images from a non subscriber.
This money grubbing scheme was cooked up by PhotoBucket a couple of years ago to prey on members who had/have images saved on their site.

I changed to www.imgur.com who host images for free and also supply image links for fora, or direct URL links etc.

Hey, Eldubya!

Can you see THIS image?

I thought anyone could see images hosted by Photobucket, their subscriber or not.

Please let me know. That said, I carry no brief for Photobucket. They hold my images for ransom.

Damocles,
I can see your pic. And in this quoted draft I can see that is was hosted by photobucket. Had you ever used anything else?

Have you ever used the photo hosting service with-in this forum?

I sort of remember a conversation between Normk & Tom Schmitz about the volume available. Of course I recon that it would only be usable On This Forum. (I know nothing about pics & vids.)

I have never had trouble viewing images.

Damacles, what is that on the top box of that motorcycle?

I've used SmugMug (when Photobucket was SNAFUed, as has happened multiple times); but I'm unfamiliar with the "in-house" hosting service of the website.

A polar bear someone named, "Cody," for "Kodiak" (phonetically; no way Cody is of the Kodiak species!).

That was where Norm did one of his Eyeore impressions about how he wasn't sure it was worth it to hang around since he couldn't post photos because he had reached his photo posting limit or somesuch.

It did cause me to look into just how many pictures a member could post up using the attachment process. There doesn't seem to be an upper limit. At least, not an upper limit to the number of photos most members would be able to attain.

The downside to the attachment process is that the photos are not embedded, they are attached. There is also a limit to the size of the attachments.
