Delete Old Posts?

New here, but something I have noticed, as I am looking for deals on parts and possibly another couple KLRs, 1x650, and 2x250. I have noticed there are a number of posts that are no longer active, that are still up? I don't know how many posts I have clicked on, only to later read the item was sold. It there a way to delete old posts, especially the ones with items for sale? It would certainly reduce the amount of posts to go through. Just my thoughts. Thanks.

Some clue as to current availability of merchandise might reside in the DATES of posts advertising it for sale, IMHO; YMMV!

I haven’t checked the Marketplace lately but in the past I’ve deleted posts that were either a year old or if the item had been sold. Personally I may change the time frame to six months. What happens on a regular basis is we have people register only to list something for sale and then they don’t return to answer questions or update the sale status. I’ll try and clean it up a bit. Apologies for any inconvenience but it’s a difficult area of the Forum to keep maintained.

After deleting all posts to approx. April of this year there should be only 2 pages (of 88 in total) that have active ads on the Forum. Works out to only 40 ads.
