Recent thread closing incident.

I'm ashamed of KLRforum. Closing a thread over a simple disagreement? I wasn't even aware we were having an argument, just a disagreement. Is that what forums are coming too... can longer even disagree or express either side of that disagreement without fear of locking a thread. What is next.. start banning over a difference in opinion or how it's expressed? Please don't turn this forum in to one sided love fest. People should be able to disagree and have conflicting conversations, no reason to dictate a board to that level. Because once it starts, where do you stop. Even if it's the original post starter requesting a thread to be closed, there are other people in the conversation now and that's not right either.

Like I've said, I never meant for it to be closed. That's not how I roll. A misunderstanding, that's all.

Good deal!! I was really starting to wonder why the heavy hand came flying out of nowhere. It's not even about me wanting to continue the disagreement either, it's only about keeping this forum from repeating a sad trend. There still may be people wanting to respond to that thread and have their say and that should be their choice. I realize some censorship is necessary with kids around, but disagreements and yes even arguments should never be dictated.

Thanks Lockjaw and Paper!

TW,

If anyone gets unwanted personal with another member (not saying you did) they will be warned once.

Discussion and differences are cool with me. What do you want to discuss reasonably?

I obviously played a role in that. I haven't reread the thread, but if I remember right, it was getting to the "you should have kicked his ass" point. I probably over-reacted cause I've given up on a couple of other forums that I enjoyed because of such stuff.

Anyway, rock on.

New guy here...

This forum needs something to spice it up.
