reserve gas light

I made a lighted reseve switch, so when you are on reserve it lights up a red led light to let you know you on reserve. So when you park it for a week or so and you forgot to check reserve switch when you take off you know wright away you are on reserve as soon as you turn on the key,I am looking to sell to any one interested I have hade mine and used for 1.5 years with no problems with it at all.I wanted to test it to make shure before I posted this on a forum.please call if intersted. their would be a 1 year warrinty with this item

ps safe to install aprox 1 hour to install this unit works on genn 1 and genn 2 bikes it allso work on any bike with a pep cock with a reserve on it.
I am a life time rider and all year, round I came up with this idea to solve running out of gas while allready on reserve after parking for a few days I would forget I was on reserve,I got used to my virago 97/ 1100 not having a pepcock and it has a red lite when on reserve so I made this up to offer to any one that is interssted

What, you don't ALWAYS turn the fuel tap to OFF to keep the crankcase from filling up with gas when you park the bike??? ;-)

Sorry but old habits die hard.

Gray-haired riders donít get that way from pure luck.

Not with a vacuum-actuated petcock!

Ain't proud of it, but . . . I don't shut off the manually-actuated petcocks of my KLR250 nor my KLF300 . . . not the best practice, but . . . excess fuel seems more likely to exit the dump tube on these carbs, rather than drain into the engine . . . (spilling out the dump tube is hardly encouraging, still!).

When it works as designed.....when it doesn't, well there you are scratching your head. That's why I have a standard fuel tap.

I like the idea, and don't get me wrong, but if and when I hit reserve I head straight to the nearest gas station.

A low oil light? That would be worth considering for long trips since my bike is so damn thirsty.
