Zumo 220 gps wiring

I just got a Zumo 220 gps
I was thinking I could wire it up to my head light so it will shut down with the bike. Any thoughts?

That'll work.. What year is the bike?? Gen 1 bikes came with a switched and fused set of wires which were perfect for GPS.. I don't think the Gen 2 bikes have it, though.

No extra wires on that..

Does the low beam stay on when the high beam is lit?

GPS draw very little current. Use a small ring connector and get the power from the back of the gauge cluster.

Probe with a Volt-Ohm Meter to find switched hot, which will be the gauge lighting circuit.

It's the one with the red wire going to it.
