Putting the Functional back in Farkle

I installed one more equipment upgrade and one less headache today. After the 9 degree temps sucked the remaining life from my three year old battery leaving me temporarily stranded, I picked up a new Shorai battery from Atomic Moto. 1. I was SO happy to find they had the perfect one for the KLR 650 in stock! 2. I was blown away by how light this battery is! Seriously, I must have lost at least four pounds off the bike!

Anyway, the installation took less than fifteen minutes and the battery came with almost 14 volts so once the seat was back on, I was riding again!
Four pounds lighter, I think My KLR is ready for Dakar!

Hey Crazy Mike. I'll likely be in Bend come June. Maybe we can have a coffee together??
