Offroad bike stand (Cheap)

I went down to the local thrift store yesterday and bought a used crutch for $1.50 then cut it off about 3 inches above adjustable leg to make a light and affordable bike stand for tire repairs.

Well done, Chris. Apparently, you are a true KLRista. Read: frugal.

About $27.50 cheaper than my Eagle Mike quick jack and prolly works just as good.

Congrats again, you cheap SO...

Cris, I would have GAVE you mine! I've now changed two fronts and one rear "in the field" and prefer to just lay the bike on it's side. (You've seen my bike)

Agreed. I think you have a real edge over the EM QJ with that rubber foot.

And the silver lining (?) of riding like I do? Free crutches every year!

All I have to do is go don to the hospital with a busted up leg and they just give me a set!
