2008 KLR 650 Smoke Windscreen

If anyone knows or hears about someone making a stock height "smoke" windscreen for the 2008, please let me know. I realize it's a new bike but I'm hoping someone will start making them soon. Thank you.

Try some window tint, I used to do that for liscence plate covers and or sand and paint the inside of the screen with gloss paint to match the fairing. I painted the one on my 07 and love it.

Hmmmmm....

Didn't think of that. I'll give it a try. Might save me some $$$$ too. Thanks!

If you are NOT looking through it while you are riding, and just using it for wind deflection, you can lightly abrase (880 or steel wool) the back side of the shield (using even strokes in one direction only), mask the front of the shield, then shoot the abrased back side of the shield with a couple of light coats of flat black spray paint. I've done this with a couple of sport bikes which were too low to look through, and it gives a nice look from the "outside."

mhm, exactly what I did with mine, except I used gloss to match my fairing.
