Need lowered Kick Stand

I am looking for a shortened kick stand for my '07 KLR 650 which I lowered 2 inches. Anyone know where one might be available?

Silly question, but why don't you just chop your's down? Unless your planning on raising the bike back up later?

I had a friend cut mine down 3/4" and re-weld the lower part back on. Bike has stock suspension and it sits like most bikes now. Stock stand had the bike straight up and made it very difficult to raise it when I was on the bike.

You would likely have to cut more off.

Why Not Cut Mine Down

I may want to go back to stock or to just 1 inch lowering - they used to sell shorter ones but maybe the '07 is too old now.

Side stand

Do an internet search for KLR side stands.

Here's one as a possible option..... http://soupysperformance.com/cbr900r...combo-kit.html

And another.... http://www.twistedthrottle.com/twist...ki-klr-650e-08
( NOTE: Says it will not fir 2013 - 2014 models. Bolt holes different. Maybe with re-drilling.)

Here's a link to a do-it-yourself project.... http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=638653

Must be more options. Just do a search.

Thanks Larry

I bit the bullet and ordered the adjustable kick stand from Soupy's - what the hell you can't take it with you. No reviews yet - maybe I will be the first to review. Thanks for the pointer.

The link for the Soupy's stand is for a CBR isn't it? Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing?

The link gets you to the website then you must navigate the products list to find the kickstand and I also ordered the larger base for the kickstand. The nice thing about the stand is it is adjustable from stock to 4 inches lower. Expensive but if it works as advertised will save me a lot of time and trouble.

Ah, got it . Thank you for the explanation, I was thinking "a CBR stand isn't going to fit a KLR!" Lol
I'm guessing it's this one then? Nice!

Good call on adding the larger base.
