Phone Mount

OK.... I've been shopping for a phone mount and so far haven't found what I want. I have an LG G5 in a lifeproof case. I've watched some Youtube vids and seen phones falling off. Really don't want that to happen. I'd like something that really holds it with "fingers" that clamp around the phone on all 4 sides. I'd prefer to mount it above the dash. What are you using that you are happy with?

I wanted something like this a few years ago for a different bike, but I found a lot of really nice, affordable options at my local bicycle store. Might wanna shop there.

The mount I ended up withstood 125 mph ( shhh...don't tell) several times and about 5k miles or so of general highway riding. I should mention though, the highway ride plushiness of a SOHC CB750 with stock suspension is about as smooth as a KLR on a gravel road with 100 psi in the tires

If I can dig up what it was that I bought I'll shout back.

I use one of these so I don't have to worry about my phone getting wet or falling out of the mount. Works great!

That might work if it was bigger. It measures 6 x 5 x 3 inches. My phone is bigger that 6 and wider than 3. Not by much but still bigger.

They make other sizes, that was just the one that worked for me.

I have the X grip. It came with a rubber retainer to make sure it stays put. Only strap it in when I'm on gravel or the interstate!

Can you use the touchscreen through the plastic?

Hmmm, not sure frankly. Never tried. Use voice commands through my sena 20s except when I take pictures.
