I had red & white ones on my KLR when I bought it. I pulled them off yesterday and am trying to figure out the best way to destined it.

Lots of people do confuse these with the BMW sticker. Even with KLR written all over it. That’s is funny.

Why would you want them? One of the happiest days of my life when I sold my GS.

This is soooo sad to have to say about any bike.

Would you care to elaborate?

I have never seen the attraction with these stickers; perhaps owning a BMW has tainted my perception and sense of humor.

My RT will be going soon. A brilliant bike that I like very much. I don't love it, though, nor do I care for BMWNA or the beating and attitude that I took from the dealer. Neither the bike nor the dealer/BMWNA inspired any brand loyalty or affection.

I hope to replace it with a bike that I think I will love, a Tiger 800XRT.

It was not so much the GS I didn't like as it was the BMW dealers. An example was buying oil and a filter to do my own oil change they wanted $85, if I took the bike to them the cost was $65. They said it was because of the fact they used bulk oil, I said I would bring a container and buy the bulk oil. They wouldn't do it. Just one example. I bought my first KLR ('08 used with 3150 miles) while I still had the BMW and found it suited me fine, currently has 328k km (205k miles) and has never been to a dealer. I had a KTM 950 gorva while nut didn't like the maintenance it required. I've been averaging a thousand kms a week for the last 12 years so it is important to me to be able to do my own repairs and maintenance at a reasonable cost.

Wink Me, not, too

My 2011 had those decals on the tank when I bought it 3 years ago. It is my 3rd KLR. I've had a KLR continuously since 2003. I'm a kool-aid drinking KLRist. Not ravenous, but I do believe that it is one of the best values in motorcycling.

I pulled those off the minute I got home. The last thing I wanted was to have a BMW rider see them and think that I had any desire to "be like them" but couldn't afford to. They, in general, are going to look down on the KLR anyways. I see no need to give them any indication that I agree with them.
