Looking for a good tail bag.

Need to get a tail bag that is not too bulky and secures well to a 2008+ KLR. Will primarily be use for small items when out commuting.

Any suggestions?

I have the factory KLR tail bag. Have had it for 2 years, and it is still in good shape. The vinyl coating cracked very soon after I got it, but hasn't started pealing. It is made specifically to fit on the luggage rack and secures well with the velcro and plastic snap lock straps. I got it from the dealership for under $100.

NewEnough has a bunch of closeout Nelson Rigg bags. I'm betting you'll find something you like there..

Talking Touratech Tailbag

I use the Touratech tailbag for the Suzuki V-Strom. Fits good, good size, and it can be expanded.

walmart cooler:

I had a bigger bag loaded with jackets and rain gear. It was to heavy and broke the bolts that bolt the rack to the frame. KEEP THE WEIGHT DOWN!

Actually, I picked up a Coleman backpack at Walmart that clips on the rack nicely... It serves a few purposes for now and saved me $$.
