If you want to convert tracks into routes, I think the best way might be with GPSTracker. I can walk you through that process, if you like. The Tracker you can convert a track of as many points as you like into a route, and you can specify how refined the route will be in terms of the number of track points used.
The Nuvi will import routes, but not tracks. Deep in the GPS engine the tracks are there, but the software uses them only to display where you've been. If you download the 'current.gpx' file, I think the track may be there, so you can save it in Mapsource, play with it, convert it to a route, but you can't upload tracks back to the Nuvi. I've tried everything I can think of to get that done, with no joy.

'How' are words so important they cannot be too often used.”
