What areas do you people lubricate on the bike and how often? What grease do you use? Cant find my manual. I need to make sure this is done right.

Rear axle and chain adjustment sliders
Front axle
axle bearings
Swingarm bearings
rear shock bolts
Chain of course

The rear axle bolt and the swingarm bolts particularly because the can seize up quickly if not lubed.

I like to use waterproof grease found in most auto parts stores.
We lube the swingarm during the winter downtime and the axle bolts and bearings when we change out the tires. Chain every 500 miles or so unless you ride in sand and dirt often and should do it more often.

I am sure there is something I have forgotten, hopefully someone will fill in the gaps.

do you buy a special grease gun for it? If not, what kind of grease do you recommend? Is there some kind where you can spray it out of a can? Where could I find a diagram of where to grease the front axle and rear shock bolts. I have an 07, red version.

Mine is an 07. Just a plain ole tube of grease, don't use a gun, you have to pull the axles and bolts to grease them. Spray grease not too good, doesn't last too long. You just slather grease all over the bolts and axles and slide them back in.

Here's a link that should probably help you:

For grease I use the Belray waterproof Grease

For the chain I clean it and then coat it with DuPont Teflon multi-use dry, wax lubricant.

The Bel Ray Chain lube is great too. No mess no fuss.

I have an 08 and started oiling my chain with a heavy grade oil which worked well. Then was advised by locals to try the wax lubricant. I picked a can up at the local bike shop, they had several brands and bought the one their mechanic recommended. Wow, what a difference. I cleaned the old oil and dirt off the chain and applied the wax as it instructed. The chain, sprockets, and tire stay much cleaner and look like new. The wax also seems to not allow any rust to form on the chain as the oil did after it rained.
