Diy, rear wheel removal, 2013 klr650

i did a little video to help others who dont know how to remove their rear wheel.

this will save lots of money when you want to replace the tire. taking in the wheel to a shop is cheaper than taking in the part.
the process takes less than 5 minutes.

There is a "middle" spacer in the sprocket carrier which can be removed or fall out when you remove the sprocket from the wheel hub. It has a thick end and a thin end and only fits in the sprocket carrier properly in one direction.

Rather than take a picture, I'll refer you to the exploded parts diagram in Post # 1 (on Sheet # 2) here:

http://www.klrforum.com/2008-klr650-...3-18-16-a.html

The "middle" spacer is highlighted by an arrow and text.

If you were going to replace the tire or the tube you would take the sprocket carrier/sprocket off also. That is when the spacer could fall out of the carrier either at your place or at the dealer's.

It is best to take the center spacer out also and slide it on the axle with the other parts.

Unfortunately when I am traveling and have tire work done on the road, I have to check every thing including the speedo cable and valve caps to make sure they are installed. Often my good steel valve caps with the core remover are missing or replaced with crummy plastic one.
