Guys....no way would I take advantage of a fellow KLR rider...my appologies if my comment offended anyone. Good luck OP, I'm certain the good folk here will get you sorted out.

My son has just had this same problem. On the forums there is a lot about electrics. My son tried to bump start but the back wheel didn't turn, it locked the back wheel. So I think the engine must be stuck/seized. I've advised him to check turning the engine with the 19 mm socket...

My 09' had this issue 1 week after I brought it home form a used bike sale.
My brother said the engine was seized and I was stupid to buy it. This angered me as he assumed I did no research. And I was a little too much on the na´ve side.
So I push it down the street and push started it in 3rd. Ran perfect!
Pulled back in the driveway and said next suggestion!
Rant over! Thanks for humoring me.
Sorry for the issue exposure.
Maybe I should schedule an appointment with DR. Ford!
