upgrading to led binkers? well, its not as easy as it seems. in a perfect world, it would be plug n play and your done. most of the time, you will end up with crazy, rapid blinking or 4 way flash blinking. well customLED to the rescue. these guys have it all and it's plug n play. ya still will need to diode your blinker indicator bulb or it will backfeed and continue the crazy bulb stuff/flashing. yes i tried led indicator bulb also in the indicator socket too. still had crazy blinking. i have used customled on some other bike projects. works great and tech support is their to help.
my links were bad, please refer to links down below. my bad🤔

tech info on how to fix your 4 way crazy blink and wiring diagram for diodes

save this for future reference, it a keeper.
thanx customLED for making it so easy!

If you you look on ebay you can find pre-wired diode kits for LED blinkers for about $10-12 with instructions on how to install it. Basically you just cut the two wires going to the indicator light on the instrument panel and rewire it through the wiring kit and then to ground. It is pretty simple but helps if you have the wiring diagram for your model bike. That will take care of all lights flashing at the same time. Then you need to replace the OEM flasher with an electronic one which you can also get on ebay for about $5-7. That will take care of the fast flashing. After that you can use all LED flashers of any mixture of LED and regular lights you want and no need for added resistors. The flasher referenced above should do the job, but seems expensive. The diode reference is a good inexpensive route if you know what you are doing, but for me the $10 diode kit makes it much easier, quicker, neater and easy to understand.I used a Kuryakyn diode kit. Make sure to check the connections on your flasher before you order. There are at least two styles depending on age of your bike. Good luck!
