Hello from Nova Scotia

Hi! I just bought a 2002 KLR 650. 1.5" lowering kit, brush gaurd with highway pegs, LED flashing taillight, High Def H4 headlight, "custom" tail box. I had just been burned on the last bike I purchased and wanted something rugged, dependable and general purpose. I ride with people who think a 4 to 6 hr ride after supper is a walk in the park. There will be lots of highway and fire roads in her future.
I'm a paramedic and firefighter. Husband, father of 2. New to riding but God what a blast.

You did well. Enjoy the KLR and good to have you on board. Also, as noted above, hope you have a camera. If there's nothing I like better than looking at my own ride, it's checking out somebody else's, either their KLR or photos of where they ride.

If you wanted something rugged, dependable and general purpose, you made the right choice! There's a reason they've been selling these things for a long time.
