Hi from Cameroon

I am Darius, catholic priest from Dominican Order ( Ordo Praedicatorum) living in Cameroon since 1993. I have 2007 KLR650. I am looking forward to meeting others in the group.

Welcome aboard Darius! You have one heck of a backyard to play in! Talk about long way up, down, round and round! Are there many KLR's in Cameroon? Is your 07 similar to what we have here in the States? Where did you live prior to moving there?

Feel free to answer in separate posts to get you count up so you can post pictures!

Sorry for my English. I speak only French. My KLR arrived from San Diego: From Los Angeles to Valecia in Spain by boat, and then to the wheels through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Benin, Nigeria, to Cameroon. I've had it one month. I am working in Cameroon since 1993. I am a Catholic priest of the Dominican Order. I've been here three Toyota Hilux, and now I drive Land Cruiser HZJ78. This is my first motorcycle. It'll drive a little bit in Cameroon. If someone wants to fly a plane to Cameroon, I can borrow my bike to him he could visit Cameroon. In Cameroon, there are two KLR650: me and my colleague. His KLR came on the wheels from Poland. Again, sorry for my english . I use the Google Translate.

Don't apologize for the English! Google translate does a better job than some Americans that I know! I speak no French so we are equal!

If you had to import the bike, then parts for it must be difficult to find. if you ever need anything for the KLR, post it here and hopefully someone will be able to help. The company that I work for has an affiliate in Johannesburg and customers in MENA ( Middle East/North Africa). I keep threatening to visit my coworkers in Johannesburg! A great bunch of guys.

Ive been around and if ever I'm in Cameroon I'll look you up. How cool it would be to ride wheelies with a Catholic Priest ?

Welcome to this forum and give us some ride reports.
