First dual sport

Hey all, bought an '08 KLR last night, many sportbikes and a few cruisers in my past.
Looking forward to the new everything and all the learning I get to do with my new departure.

Welcome.

Don't want to sour your purchase but keep an eye on the oil level.

"It's a friggen motorcycle, it's not supposed to be comfortable, quiet or safe. The wind noise is supposed to hurt your ears, the seat should be hard and riding it should make you shit your pants every now and then. "

First thing I'm going to figure out is whether to remove the Moose lowering links and install the stock ones again.
I don't need the inseam help, and figure the guys that built it probably had it right.

Some burn it more than others. Keep your eye on it and report back.
