Hi and welcome to the forum.

What sort of KLR did you bring home?

I brought home a new, 2012, white and blue KLR650. I am already learning a bit about the bike and that I need to make some changes. I understand that it comes stock with a soft spring for a lighter person than myself. I am 6'2" and 230 lbs. I think my first upgrades may be a rear spring and risers.

i installed raising links shortly after purchasing my 2013, if you've got the inseam, they really help reduce the preload and also raise the rear end to help stabilize the bike on the side stand.
