Greetings from TwinJet

Someone told me not to use your motorcycle as your handle because you will eventually change motorcycles and get stuck with a handle that doesn't apply anymore.

So being an obstinate kinda guy, I did it anyway but used my first bike as my handle. (You can never change your first bike.) It was a 1966 Yamaha TwinJet 100 and I ran it everywhere I could because I didn't know that it was too small for interstates, didn't have the right tires for off-road, etc., etc.

So now many years (and bikes) later I find myself on another "do anything" bike.

Oh yeah, 8 posts, 7 to go.

twinjet,
As soon as I saw the name, I had a sneek'in suspicion, that we both had the EXACT same model of first bike! Right down to the year.
1966 Yamaha YL-1 100cc TwinJet.

My older brother and I shoveled dirt the summer of '69 to purchase 3 year used 12,000 miles, Black/Gray and Chrome, YL-1 TwinJet 100, for $150.00, in October 1969. Many fond memories.
Welcome to the forum.

Welcome!

This one is MY first bike - I'm liking the do-anything capabilities of it. Pretty fun.

And it goes on the highway pretty well - I'm not too happy going over 80 on it, but that has more to do with the air gusts beating me up on the highways around here than the bike not handling it.
