Introduction of a recovering lurker

I have been a lurker here for about two years and finally decided to join. I live in sw Ohio, military vet, self employed family guy. Two years ago In a casual conversation with my wonderful wife about buying another bike after a 7 year hiatus she shocked me with her response. I had been researching prior to our conversation and decided on a gen1 klr. Two days later ( didn't waste any time for reconsideration....) I had purchased a fairly farkled 685. The bug has bit and now i think i might be out of control. What started as a few improvements has become a quest of sorts. I have been collecting parts for a few months a the start of the build commences today. I will have many parts for sale soon along with questions that as of now i have not found answers for. Thanks to the mods for a great forum and look forward to being an active part of this community.

Welcome to the forum Torch! Try to keep the questions to a minimum of 50000 or so and everything will be OK. If you put 15 random posts on this thread you can post some pics of your "Backroad Hog" for all to see. http://www.klrforum.com/showthread.php?t=12677

Awesome! Can't wait for the build thread. Good call on not waiting for the woman to change her mind.

Official welcome to the zoo.

I sorted thru about 5 KLR sites and this was my choice hands-down.
The comadarie and sharing, brotherhood, and good natured rib poking
made KLRforum.com an easy choice to make and it hasn't let me down one bit!

I don't know if this is Wayne or Garth, but whoever it is needs to find a better place to ride than around town.......
