New Zealand bound

Hi,
I finally bought my KLR I've been dreaming about for years last year when I moved to New Zealand from Bend, Oregon USA. A 2007 type A with 2000 miles on it. I've done some great rides in New Zealand and even a week long South Island trip recently with a race in the middle called The Dusty Butt (DB1K). New Zealand's adventure 1000km in 2 days ride. That one pushed me in ways I haven't been pushed before. Called turbo sightseeing while trying not to wreck off a cliff they call a road! I have plenty of videos and pictures to share from my New Zealand travels. And I've been modifying my bike from stock adding things every few months to help it's performance off road.

Anyways I'll answer any questions you may have about New Zealand, and hope you enjoy my posts. I should be here for another year before returning to beautiful Bend, Oregon!
Cheers~

Welcome!

New Zealand looks like it would be an awesome place to ride, I'm envious! Living up North our season is super short, love to live somewhere where I could ride year round.

What are your average temps there in the summer? Are you prone to the super baking summers that they seem to be getting in Australia these days? There's a fellow on the Facebook KLR Owners group that hails from Australia who post's quite a bit, I was surprised to see that there are some differences in your KLR's vs the North American models.
